Thanks guys, yes a little weathering will be in order. After all it is a fleet truck, not a show one. Couple more underhood details are rad overflow bottle and air cleaner made from 1/2" styrene tube with styrene sheet and strip details.

Thanks guys, AMT's Louisville has the right basic shape and overall details, a lot of them are either simplified or left off. Considering the kit was tooled about 40 years ago I think we can allow that! Scale is 1/25, mudflap hangers made from .032 square brass bar, once annealed it was easy to coil around a 1/16" rod. Brackets are strips cut .040 wide from shim brass and soldered in place. Mudflap made from .015 styrene with .015 strips, brackets drilled for small nut/bolt/washer castings.

fantastic approach to very realistic mud flap hangers. Gonna have to use that technique on my next road truck build.

Thanks guys, just got underside of hood completed this evening. Styrene sheet used to build up inner fender splash guards and air intake. Layer peeled from Scotchbrite pad for insulation, copper wire twisted up and soldered to straight brass wire for brackets that hold insulation in place.
