Thanks guys!
I'm missing some parts, of course. Mirrors and brackets, for instance, I need to rob from another Pete kit; that one will be the designated '06 379 build, with the newer style brackets. That arched support bracket under the frame I'll have to scratchbuild, and I have to see if I can come up with a radiator...

Just picked op two cans at the hobby store, red and black. Ray Ellis sent me two pics of a Cooney Pete, so I'll have some reference. Do I have to paint the frame red or black?

Cooney decals are ordered with modeltruckin.com, and I also plan to put on a 63"flat top sleeper.

Thanks William! I got the hood and cab parts primed and in their red coat already, except for the back panel of the cab. Not sure if I feel like cutting out a true Unibilt transition. Looking at previous builds, I probably will do so eventually.
Also, I'm working on the Cat. Now I have a question: if I follow the instructions for the motor, the intake air goes straight from the turbo to the cilinders. Shouldn't it run past the radiator, through the intercooler? How does it look on a real 3406E?

Thanks Gator! This build is becoming more and more fun by the minute. I'm glad with the suggestions from the other board to make it a true Ontario truck. Of course it won't be a true replica of a Cooney fleet tractor, but I'll build it like I want it to. I have a few extras in mind for this one. Just as curious as you guys to see how it turns out!

Thanks Jim!
Great link too! I'm not going to do the wiring; tried it a few times in the past but it gave me more stress than good results. Let alone the french words I uttered. Looking at the pics, it confirms what I suspected. This is going to involve some styrene pipe or sprue bending... By the way, nice daycab in the link too!

Thanks for the link Kevin! Yes, mine will have a 63" flat top sleeper, but the logos provided by modeltruckin.com. I think those are the previous issue, but that's OK with me. Yes Rob, having gotten to know so many nice Canadians in the last year, it's the least I could do, right? ;D
