Those back up lights I think I can manage as well. Gotta look if I have some left. Dang, and this was supposed to be an easy-going build....

On the subject of lights,I forgot to mention that Canadian trucks require marker lights on the face of of the mirrors

Thanks Kevin! If I recall correctly you hinted that on my 379-127 build some time back, I thought about that the other day and made a mental note to self. Usually I forget these soon, so a heads-up is always appreciated!

Fed DOT requires a yellow w/ black letters on the front bumper "Oversized Load". Which is great cause in the winter they get all caked up with snow & ice. 18x18" flags on the corners of anything that sticks out past the edge of the trailer. Amber flashing lights front & rear, and another oversized load banner across the rear of the trailer. ap40

Actaully, I do have the beacons from the LAFD wrecker kit left. I might scratchbuild a base and put them on with amber lenses... The red and white banner with "D" is on only when it's hauling an oversize load, of course.

Here, kitty, kitty....! I didn't install the crossover pipe, I want the air from the turbo to run through the intercooler before it hits the intake manifold. Also I did some test fitting it in the frame. I hope this big Cat is going to fit in front of the cab, there's not going to be much room to spare...

The Cat 3406T/A is a bit dated for the truck you are building, but it will fit. If you are going to use a CAC, then you will want to cut the top air inlet off of the intake manifold & turn it 135 degrees to toward the front left of the motor, in order for the CAC pipe to line up correctly. Oh CAC = Charge Air Cooler.
For the kit, a 3406E, over head cam motor would be more accurate, or the horrible Drip-Troit series 60 thing that is a glorified 4 stroke wind bag. You could also use a Cummins ISX-600 or Sig-600. The only ISX i know of in resin is from Auslowe & it is a small 1/25
CFC used to offer a Cat 3406E, but sadly he has been out of the market for close to 9 years now.

Thanks for that info Rick! I used the Sig on my 388 build last Spring (it's somewhere on this board if I'm not mistaken), and that was a fun engine to build too. I figured I have to adapt some parts on the intake manifold, so I'm just going to try how it'll work out...

The variations on the connections all relate to the chassis design & slope of the hood / radiator position. Ap40

Thanks Gator! Actually, I haven't been working on the Pete for three or four days, way too busy with other things. I plan to get some work on it done today, before my late shift.

Do we all run into the same thing, just when you get a good groove going on a model, life steps in and changes your direction...... looking to see how this one turns out. Ap40
